Ranchi, Nov 18: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has transferred Sunil Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary of the Labour, Employment, Training & Skill Development Department, and appointed him as the Director of Information Technology.
According to the notification issued by the Personnel Department, Singh will take charge as Director, Information Technology, with immediate effect.
Along with his new responsibilities, he has also been assigned additional roles as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JAP-IT and CEO of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab.
The reshuffle is part of the state government’s efforts to streamline administrative efficiency and strengthen the functioning of key technology-driven departments.
Officials said the move is aimed at boosting digital governance and accelerating innovation initiatives across Jharkhand.
Singh is expected to play a crucial role in advancing IT infrastructure, promoting e-governance, and supporting emerging tech-based solutions within the state administration.
