Jamshedpur, March 15: A new state-of-the-art school building of ADLS Sunshine School, which is a unit of 100 years old ADL Society was inaugurated by Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, at Gwalpara slope, Kadma. The new school campus was also handed over to the School Management today.
R. Ravi Prasad, President, Tata Workers Union was the Guest of Honour. The ADL Society Management members, the management members of 12 Andhra Associations in Jamshedpur, Principal Indrani Singh, and other Principals of city schools, staff, students and parents witness the moment.
The newly built infrastructure provides new facilities and a much improved learning environment. The construction of a new building started on 12th June, 2015 and it consists of well ventilated spacious classrooms, laboratories, computer cyber for senior and junior students, music and dance room, Library for senior students, E-Library for Juniors, reference library for board students, Air conditioned Multi-purpose hall to conduct workshops, meetings, huge play ground, Air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of more than 700 people, ramp for children with special needs, washrooms for the disabled etc.
The attraction of the building is the Pre Primary Air conditioned classrooms with theme based walls. Each classroom is well equipped with smart board.
For the convenience of parents there is a comfortable parlor and each floor has a toilet block and proper water arrangements. Apart from basic facilities, the school has fire alarm system and underground fire hydrants, CCTV cameras, emergency long bell facilities and other safety measures are taken care of.
The much anticipated inaugural function celebrated with great nerve and enthusiasm. The Principal Indrani Singh welcomed the Guest and invitees.
The highlights of the Program was the Lamp procession ‘The Roots’ by the students and the milestone flag march which depicted the 100 glorious years history of ADL Society.
The Chief Guest Sunil Bhaskaran was welcomed with traditional dance of Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh. The fairy and fairy God mother, symbol of hope, descended from clouds and handed over a beautiful handmade Lily, the state flower of Andhra Pradesh to the Chief Guest of the evening.
The gathering was addressed by Mr. Bhaskaran who congratulated the ADL Society and Sunshine School Members on their explicit achievements.
In his invigorating speech, Bhaskaran spoke about the new building, wished the school great success and appealed the students to leave a trail of their own in the society. He also conveyed his best wishes to the students who are appearing for the board examinations. The remarkable day felicitated the gigantic leap in the development of the inception of the new era which will take the school to its zenith and make it a temple of learning for ages to come.
