Jamshedpur, May 14: The summer vacations in government schools will be effective from May 17 to June 8 as directed by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Jharkhand government. Only teaching of class 8 students would be undertaken during this period. This was stated by the Gamharia Block BEEO, Kanan Patra. The decision was taken in view of COVID-19 precautions.
The BEEO further informed that departmental officials had been directed to transfer midday meal amounts for the period of school closure to the respective accounts of students. All teachers have been urged for ensuring the execution of this major responsibility. The first phase of the fund transfer had been completed while the second phase to commence from May 17 will be executed under the supervision of school headmasters.
