Summer Splash 2025 brings learning and joy to life at Gulmohur High School

Jamshedpur, May 14: Summer Splash 2025 at Gulmohur High School was more than just a summer camp—it was a celebration of joy, imagination, and meaningful growth. From May 12th to 14th, Tata Hall transformed into a vibrant hub for over 220 students from Grades 3 to 7 to explore their talents, while senior students from Grades 9 and 11 took on leadership roles, showcasing Gulmohur’s commitment to education of the mind, heart, and hands.

The three-day camp was packed with engaging activities designed to nurture holistic development. Budding artists brought their creativity to life at Wear Your Art, while musical energy soared at Mic Drop Madness, where students performed rap and beatboxing with enthusiasm. The Treasure Hunt turned into an exciting race of clues and teamwork, with riddles like “Follow the compass of creativity!” sparking curiosity and collaboration.

The emotional heart of the camp was in the events Glow Up with Mom and Strut the Style—celebrations of motherhood and cultural pride. In Glow Up with Mom, mothers styled their children in vibrant “Summer Fun” outfits, complete with floral crowns and bright accessories. Strut the Style saw mothers walk the ramp in beautiful traditional attire, showcasing the timeless grace and elegance of Indian womanhood.

While the younger students immersed themselves in fun and learning, senior volunteers stepped into the shoes of event managers, coordinators, and mentors. Under the guidance of faculty members, they mastered essential 21st-century skills—from time management during the Flame-Free Feast (a fireless cooking challenge) to critical thinking during the event executions. Rijul, a Grade 11 volunteer, shared, “I never knew organizing a Treasure Hunt would teach me so much about leadership!”

Gulmohur’s emphasis on overall well-being echoed through activities like Groove-a-robics, a fun mix of dance and fitness that had students moving with joy. The Flame-Free Feast was not just about preparing salads and snacks—it became a lesson in sustainability, resourcefulness, and teamwork.

The camp ended on a high note with the closing ceremony Arrivederci, filled with celebration and applause. Principal Ms. Priti Sinha commended every student, saying, “Here at Gulmohur, we don’t measure success by trophies, but by the courage to try and the joy of collaboration.”

Parents were thrilled to witness the transformation in their children. “My son now treats house chores as ‘adventure quests’!” laughed Mrs. Mishra, mother of Vivaan Mishra, who took part in the Treasure Hunt. For students like Samriddha and Piyush (Grade 9), the experience was a crash course in real-world learning. “I learned to adapt, to lead, and even troubleshoot a mic—skills no textbook can teach!” shared Piyush.

As the curtains came down on Summer Splash 2025, Gulmohur’s core belief stood strong: Happy children become empowered learners. Principal Priti Sinha summed it up beautifully: “At Gulmohur, education isn’t confined to classrooms. It’s a journey where tradition meets innovation, mothers are honoured as heroes, and every student discovers their potential through joy.”

The camp was conceptualized under the able leadership of Principal Ms. Priti Sinha and Vice-Principal Ms. Archana Srivastava, curated by Activity Incharge Ms. Gargi Mukherjee, and efficiently supported by Process Owners—Ms. Minky Ojha, Ms. P. Harshika, Ms. Anunita Dhawria, Ms. Prerna Mohanty, Ms. Shashikala Munka, and Mr. Vipul Kumar. Additional enthusiastic support came from Mr. Prithvi Thakur and Mr. Sumeet Sen.
