Sumit Kumar Bose tops Jamshedpur in JAC Class 12 Commerce, scores 447 marks

Jamshedpur, May 30: Sumit Kumar Bose, a resident of Patel Bagan in Sundernagar, has emerged as the district topper in the Intermediate Commerce examination. Scoring an impressive 447 marks, Sumit has achieved this remarkable feat. He expressed his intention to pursue graduation.

Sumit shared his study strategy, emphasizing the significance of regular revision to excel in academics and examinations. He dedicates approximately five to six hours daily to his studies. Sumit credited his success to the unwavering support and guidance of his parents and teachers. Sumit’s father, Diptesh Kumar Bose is a tuition teacher while his mother, Bulu Bose is a homemaker. Their constant encouragement and nurturing environment played a vital role in shaping Sumit’s academic journey.

On the other hand, students of Shyama Prasad Intermediate College, Khasmahal, Jamshedpur have topped the district in the Plus Two Arts and Commerce exam, the result of which was announced by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Tuesday.

Pooja Mardi of Shyama Prasad Intermediate College has bagged the top position in East Singhbhum in Arts stream scoring 452 marks.

Sumit Kumar Bose of the same college scored 447 marks to top the district in commerce.

On the other hand, 96.69 percent students passed the Arts exam from East Singhbhum district while in the commerce the pass percentage is 88.84 percent.

In the previous year, 97.79 percent Arts students cleared the exam from the district. In Commerce the result saw decline of 3.68 percent in comparison to previous year.

A total of 12,442 students from the district appeared for Intermediate Arts examination, out of which 12031 students cleared it.

482 students passed with first division, 6752 students stood second and 407 students cleared it with third division marks.

Of the 5225 boys who appeared for the exam 4999 students excelled while out of 7217 girl students 7032 cleared it.

Pass percentage (Boys) is 95.67 percentage and for girls it is 97.43 per cent.

On the other hand, a total of 4660 students from the district appeared in the Intermediate Commerce examination, out of which 4140 students have been successful.

2972 students passed the exam with first division, 1139 secured second division and 29 students bagged third division rank.

Of the 2434 male students 2116 have been successful, while out of 2226 female students 2024 cleared the exam.

Pass percentage of boys in Intermediate Commerce is 86.93 and for girls it is 90.92 per cent.

Girls are ahead of boys in the list of district toppers in both Arts and Commerce.

Only one boy has made it to the list of district top 10 in Arts. In Commerce 8 girls and 6 boys have made it to the list of 14 students in the district top 10.
