Jamshedpur, Mar 19: To prevent suicides, the district administration has begun installing iron mesh fencing on the Adityapur Toll Bridge. This initiative follows efforts by the suicide prevention organization ‘Jeevan’ and is expected to reduce incidents of self-harm in the area.
Jeevan Trustee Deepak Dokaniya said, “Earlier, we successfully fenced the Mango Bridge. We are committed to helping those in distress and raising awareness about mental health. If needed, people can reach out to our helpline.”
In a parallel initiative, Jeevan conducted a stress management workshop for 40 industrial workers in Adityapur. The session focused on recognizing stress symptoms and adopting coping mechanisms to foster a healthier work environment.
