Jamshedpur: Socialist thinker and senior advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu has strongly criticised the Central Government’s budget, terming it highly disappointing and completely detached from the realities faced by farmers, labourers, youth, and the middle class.
Reacting to the budget, Sudhir Kumar Pappu said that it has failed to provide any meaningful relief to farmers, address rising unemployment, or offer concrete measures for labour welfare. He stated that the disappointment was so severe that it created panic in the stock market, forcing investors to withdraw their money soon after the budget announcements.
He further alleged that Bihar and Jharkhand have been totally ignored in the budget. “There is not a single significant provision for the development of Bihar and Jharkhand. Even in the railway budget, these states have received nothing, which clearly reflects the Centre’s discriminatory approach,” he said.
Sudhir Kumar Pappu added that the budget offers no roadmap for employment generation and ignores the agrarian crisis entirely. According to him, middle-class and lower-income families feel cheated, as the budget contains lofty announcements but no concrete solutions to inflation, joblessness, or declining purchasing power.
Summing up his reaction, he said the Central Government’s budget is nothing more than a shower of empty promises, lacking vision, sensitivity, and commitment towards inclusive development.
