Jamshedpur: The district committee of Socialist Unity Centre of India, Communist, met the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum on Wednesday and demanded compensation to the victims of the cyclonic storm Phailin.
The outfit members handed over a memorandum to the DC and demanded that the administration should provide the compensation to the victims as soon as possible. The party secretary Vimal Das said the poor families should be given ration cards without delay.
