Jamshedpur, March 25: Third electric crematorium at Subarnarekha Burning Ghat was inaugurated by Sunil Bhaskaran, VP (Corporate Services) Tata Steel in presence Sujit Roy, Secretary, Subarnarekha Burning Ghat
Committee and other dignified guests on Wednesday, March 25.
On the occasion Sujit Roy said, “This 3rd Electric crematorium would go a long way in meeting the increased demand of carrying out the last rites of people moving to The Almighty’s Abode for eternal peace in a dignified environmental friendly way.
This 3rd Furnace would not have been possible without the financial help and support of Tata Steel Ltd alongwith other benevolent Donor’s”.
Roy further informed, “fumes emanating from the chimney of the furnace will be bereft of any carbon particles as it would be going through a high performance scrubber system .
This would also be a unique milestone in the Subarnarekha Burning Ghat’s history as there would not be any discharge of effluent water to the river after treatment at scrubber since two nos of large soak pits have been made to collect this water for groundwater recharge”.
At the event members of subarnarekha Burning Ghat Committee, a social organisation managing the affairs of the crematorium and others were present.
