: Series of shooting incidents have rattled life normal life in the city.

Fires were shot at Tilu Bhatta area along the Marine Drive under Sonari police station area late last night, suspected to be taken because of gang rivalry between Tilu Sardar group and that of Pandey gang.

The fresh incident of firing appears to be an attempt of revenge by the Pandey gang against those responsible for the murderous attack on Rakesh who is still admitted in the Tata Main Hospital for the treatment of the gun-shot injury.

Officer-in-charge, Sonari police statin, Sandeep Kumar ssaid that he has also heard about firing in Tilu Bhatta area late last night, but are yet to confirm the firing. He said a police party had rushed to the spot on getting the information of firing .

Kumar stated that they have registered a case against four members of Tilu Sardar gang for allegedly assaulting on Rakesh Dubey. He said all the four accused have absconded.

A 34-year-old businessman Rakesh Dubey was recently shot at his head by two criminals due to an old enmity near Nurses Building under Sonari police station area.

Rakesh was fired at the back of his head while he was eating near a roadside vendor on Sunday. Two youth, Gangesh Kallar and Babu Lodhi, shot at the garment shop owner, and escaped from the spot.

The victim was, recovered by the fellow shop-keepers and rushed to Tata Main Hospital where the victim was admitted for treatment.

“We have been raiding Tilu Bhata residence of the accused. Beside raiding at the whereabouts of the culprits, we are also trying to find out those involved in the murder bid on Rakesh,” said the sub-inspector.
