Jamshedpur, July 30: With the COVID-19 infection graph rising threateningly, the district administration has been tightening the protocol implementation lock to contain the rapid spread of the killer viral attack. Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District magistrate Suraj Kumar, all Incident Commanders have been relentlessly following up on implementation of safety strictures in their command areas.

The Incident Commanders have been continuously visiting crowded public places, markets, Haat Bazaars and other areas. They are inspecting containment zones and conducting surprise checks on people under home quarantine. Today, Savita Topno, Pramod Ram and other Incident Commanders carried out drives in their respective command areas and took to task people not wearing masks or not maintaining social distancing. Pramod Ram, during his Golmuri round caught seven youth playing football at the Masjid Maidan. They were handed notices and warned that if they repeated the mistake they would face legal action. He also visited the containment zone and took stock of the arrangements and activities there.
Savita Topno toured the Bistupur area and did a surprise checking on people under home quarantine to ascertain if they were in their homes and confined to their rooms. She checked on all the 10 people and found them to be complying to norms.
The Incident Commanders, along with their checking are also urging people to follow safety protocols as directed by the government and administration. They said that shopkeepers found violating norms are being served notices. Shopkeepers not having sanitizers in the ir establishments, not wearing masks, not maintaining social distancing and serving customers not wearing masks would be liable for action under relevant sections of the DM Act.
