Jamshedpur, July 30: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Suraj Kumar and SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan today inspected all checkposts set up in the city. The checkposts set up is in view of the random spread of COVID-19 infection in and around the city. The senior officials visited check[posts set up at Kharkai River Bridge, Adityapur Toll Bridge, Rivers� Meet, Patamda Road, MGM Police Station and others.
They took updates on law and order and directed Magistrates and police personnel posted at the checkposts to take severe action against loiterers. The senior officials including the Deputy Commissioner, SSP, City SP Subhash Chandra Jat, Dhalbhum SDO Chandan Kumar, ADM Nand Kishor Lal and JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar also checked the registers of records mentioning names of people coming in through the checkpoints, their names, addresses and mobile numbers.
The senior officials instructed the Magistrates and police personnel on duty to ensure that none should be allowed to enter the district through interstate borders without valid vehicle passes.
The senior district officials asked checkpoint personnel to be alert and stressed on their personal safety. A shop selling tobacco products at the side of Shastrinagar Road was sealed.
