Streamlining MGM Hospital Jamshedpur Operations: DC directs swift shifting of equipment

Jamshedpur: A review meeting was conducted at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi to ensure the smooth functioning of MGM Hospital. The meeting focused on the shifting of medical units from the old hospital building to the new facilities, ensuring availability of resources, and improving patient convenience and healthcare quality.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned departments to expedite the transfer of essential equipment from the old premises to the new units, emphasizing the importance of fully utilizing the infrastructure. He also stressed the need for regular staff attendance and effective coordination to ensure seamless services in OPD and emergency departments.

Updated information regarding availability of medicines, oxygen supply, beds, and ventilators was reviewed during the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner underlined the importance of fixing accountability among doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure uninterrupted and quality medical care.

He remarked that MGM Hospital caters to a large number of patients daily, many of whom come with high hopes for better treatment. It is imperative, he said, that the services provided are not only timely and accessible but also delivered in a clean and supportive environment.

The Deputy Commissioner assured that actions are being taken on priority regarding the relocation from the old building, resource adequacy, hygiene management, and medical accountability, with the goal of strengthening public healthcare delivery.

The meeting was attended by the Director of NEP, Civil Surgeon, Principal of MGM College and Hospital, Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, officials from construction agencies, and other Health Department representatives.
