Storm uproots electric pole,power supply disrupted near Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 31: Severe storm and heavy rain that occurred on Wednesday evening resulted in the breaking of electric poles in Dumaria block. Widespread wire damage was also observed in various locations. While the rainfall provided some relief from the scorching heat, the power supply was disrupted due to the fallen poles. In particular, near the Bhalukpatra main road of the block, a pole became crooked, posing a risk to the surrounding area. Another pole in the same field broke and collapsed as well. Anand Kumar Kachchhap, Junior Engineer (JE) of the Electricity Department, reported that multiple poles were affected by the storm. The electricians are diligently working to restore power and resolve the damages caused by the fallen poles
