Stop privatization of PSUs: Youth INTUC

Jamshedpur, Sept 10: Youth INTUC national secretary Rakesh Sahu led a team of demonstrators demanding the central government to refrain from its bid to privatize public sector undertakings (PSUs). The protestors took out a candle light rally that culminated near the Kasidih Chowk near Sagar Hotel on Kalimati Road. Those present during the protest candle light rally were Youth INTUC state president Omkarnath Pandey, Vijay Yadav, Riyazuddin Khan, Asish Thakur, Janardan Yadav, Sumit Kumar, Anshu Majumdar, Anis Kumar, Bharat Singh, Sultan Ahmad, Sushil Bhagat, Nitish Kumar, Arun Barik, Aditya Dhanraj and others who also addressed the gathering. They spoke against the government�s economic policies and raised eight demands that included roll back on decision to privatize PSUs, make policies for economic stability, cut prices of petrol and diesel, additional provisions for youth employment, stop outsourcing and contract jobs in lieu of permanent jobs, roll back decision to suspend Labour Law, roll back on decision to slash interest on PF and fixing working time at 6 hours.
