State agriculture produce turn global

Jamshedpur: Agricultural produce from Jharkhand are beginning to find their way in foreign shores. The quality and quantum enhancement through drip irrigation and other developed technical modes is now gradually turning into reality for farmers.

The first lot of the state�s farm yields has been exported to Dubai jointly through All Seasons Farm Fresh and Agricultural and Processed Food products Export Development Authority (APDA) from International Export Cargo Division (Kolkata).

A government initiative has seen delegations of farmers visiting Israel for training in new and advanced scientific modes of cultivation. The first batch of vegetable exports includes those by farmers of Pakur who had recently visited Israel. Khelaram Murmu of East Singhbhum along with his team of farmers has started exporting their yields to Dubai. The Department of Agriculture and OFAJ have initiated and developed the process of qualitative and improved farming in the district. Khelaram is now an ideal of farmers in the state.
