Kolkata (IANS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release the BJP’s election manifesto today for West Bengal’s upcoming two-phase Assembly elections.
The BJP calls the manifesto its “Sankalp Patra.” In a social media post this morning, Shah announced the release and claimed that West Bengal’s citizens—stifled by the Trinamool Congress government’s misrule—now demand a change.
“Bengal, weary of TMC, now seeks change,” the Home Minister wrote. “Today in Kolkata, I will release the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ to free Bengal from TMC’s ‘reign of terror’. Thereafter, I look forward to connecting with the state’s brothers and sisters through a public meeting in Debra and a roadshow in Kharagpur.”
Campaign Trail: Key Schedules
The BJP’s top leadership has a packed itinerary as the state nears the first polling date:
-
Amit Shah (Saturday): Will address rallies in Chhatna (Bankura) and Baghmundi (Purulia).

This follows the Prime Minister’s busy Thursday, where he addressed crowds in Haldia, Asansol, and Suri, building on the momentum he started on April 5 in Cooch Behar.
