Jamshedpur: A start-up venture founded by XLRI alumnus, Rajiv Kumar has been awarded Certificate of Excellence from Singhbhum Division of the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communication & Information Technology, Govt of India.
Kashyap Computing & Management Pvt Ltd (KCM) founded by Rajiv Kumar in August, 2014 is an IT and ITeS business services company offering miscellaneous consultancy services to government & private sector entities in Jharkhand.
The venture was inaugurated by Prof. Prabal K. Sen, chairperson, Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), XLRI.
An elated Prof. Sen commented, “KCM, a rural BPO formed by XLRI alumnus Rajiv Kumar with the vision of doing good to the society with an overarching goal of empowerment of the rural youth of Jharkhand and I am delighted with the achievement it has received from the Department of Posts only within a year of its inception”.
“KCM aims to recruit the manpower from rural areas of Jharkhand through teaching and training them to elevate their competence and skill up to the global level. Commitment of the company to the rural areas of Jharkhand is more than amply demonstrated by the fact that it started its operations from its delivery-cum-and operation centre set up at the village of Hurlung in East Singhbhum district.
With the high level of perseverance, competence and more importantly, with the urge for excellence, we hope to witness more such laurels will come to their way in the future”, Prof Sen further added.
Rajiv Kumar a graduate engineer from BIT Mesra, an MCA from NIST and a pass-out of XLRI’s Post Graduate Programme for Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management (PGP-CEM) 2013-14 batch, has previously worked with a IT-related MNC for several years and served top most clients from all across the world.
The founder of the Company is thus not only highly competent in the related technical area, but has also imbibed the entrepreneurial aptitude through his graduation under XLRI’s PGP-CEM, a programme designed and launched by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) of XLRI in 2010 to provide competency-based education to the eligible candidates with a view to promoting entrepreneurship in the country. KCM took shape under the mentorship of Prof. Prabal K. Sen, Chairperson of EDC, XLRI.
Rajiv Kumar emphasises the need for attaching the maximum weightage to the growth and development of the Company’s clients. The company therefore intends to work with the punch line of “Our focus, your growth,” with customer satisfaction being its ultimate goal.
