New Delhi/Ranchi, July 16: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday met Central Iron, Steel & Mining Minister Narendra Singh Tomar at Udyog Bhawan in New Delhi in which development of the mines of the state, establishment of new industries & expansion of the existing industries were discussed.
Minister Tomar said that Jharkhand is indispensable in industrial as well as national development point of view.
The Union Minister over the detailed exploration reports of 10 blocks of Jharkhand to Chief Minister Shri Raghubar Das in New Delhi. The reports, prepared as part of Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL)�s promotional exploration, include reports for 7 copper blocks and 3 gold blocks.
The Chief Minister was given 14 memoranda of G3 & G4 level &10 of G 1 level. Out of G 1 level, 8 are related with copper whereas 2 are related with gold mining. It has been decided to prepare the blue print of its auction in two months.
In this regard, senior central officers & specialists will help the state Govt. According to the memoranda, 01 gold area at Paharia area of Singhbhum & 02 gold areas are supposed to be at Nandu Parasi in Ranchi. At these places, ample gold can be mined.
Apart from this, Bauxite & Copper are also supposed to be found in Singhbhum.
The Chief Minister informed the central minister that DMF is in its last stage & told that a committee has been formed under D C. The Secretary, Iron & Steel Ministry, said that rates of running mines & proposed new mines to be auctioned will be decided soon. He also said that funds will be provided basing the MMRD ACT implementation date.
SAIL requested to renew mines timely so that expansion process could be sped up. Chief Minister said that a meeting has been called in the chairmanship of Chief Secretary on 20 July, 2015. At the same time, it has been decided to short out various disputes through arbitration. A detailed discussion took place at Bokaro, Chiria, Manoharpur& Guwa mines.
Chief Minister laid stress to implement CSR plan in the interest of the people. He appealed the Corporate to make it education, health, medication, energy & infrastructure oriented.
The Chief Minister said that industry should be established on the basis of priority in those areas from where minerals are mined so that the disposed and local people can get jobs. He also laid stress on decreasing the influence of trade unions and increases the local participation.
He said that local people specially the women�s participation should increase in outsourcing jobs. He said that thirty five hundred acres of land and two hundred million tons of iron ore are indispensable to make the state industry oriented.
He said that two steel plants at West Singhbhum and one steel plant at Seraikela should be established. In this context, he said that the inaugural expansion of Bokaro Steel Plant will take place soon. With this, the production of the steel plant will boom to 14 million ton.
On behalf of the people of Jharkhand, the Chief Minister expressed his heart felt gratitude to Central Minister Narender Singh Tomar for his positive attitude towards the state.
