Jamshedpur, Jan 17: The Adityapur-based National Institute of Technology ( NIT) is all set to play host to eastern India’s first ever national level design competition of single-seater four wheeled vehicle.
The event ‘ Delta Shootout’ will be organised on the campus of the engineering college from January 23 to 26.
The four-day event will be first-its-kind event in eastern India, which will test the
engineering skills of the participants.
The Adityapur Auto Cluster Limited ( AACL) in association with Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority ( AIADA) and Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) will
organise the event.
Delta Inc and AMEXIS Professionals Pvt. Ltd. will be partners in hosting the event.
Chairman of the organising committee and president of ASIA, R K Sinha informed that the event will witness participation of 14 auto-engineering colleges from across the country.
“We are very happy to partner this event. East India has a rich tradition of motor racing and this event will only promote and inspire future racers and race engineers to come together,” said Sinha.
He went on to say that the purpose of the event is to provide a platform to young engineers to showcase their talent.
Moreover, it will also help automobile industries to identify the best brains so that they can setup R&D facilities, he said.
NIT professor, Sanjay Kumar, who is also an expert of motorsports said that efforts are being made to make the event one of the best in the country.
He further added that this will be an opportunity of the tomorrows Mechanical Engineers to
show their talents to about 1000 Industries.
According to Kumar, an all terrain track will be developed for the endurance test at the NIT campus.
The track will have dust roads, slush areas, sand pits and boulder roads. Religious procession marks day
