Jamshedpur: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jamshedpur, Anoop Birtharay felicitated the representatives of three Durga Puja committees of Golmuri for peacefully organizing the festival. The top three committees were honoured for following the benchmarks set by the district administration for organizing Durga Puja.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, the SSP said the puja committees had done a commendable job by following the instructions of the district administration without fail. District police will be beefing up security for upcoming festivals including Deepawali and Chhath, he added.
Also present on the occasion, Amish Hussain, officer in-charge of Golmuri PS, said the puja committees had played a vital role in keeping peace during the festival.
Among those present on the occasion included Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Shiv Shankar Singh, Bunty Agrawal, Probir Chatterjee Rana, Anil Thakur, Uday Prasad Singh and Prem Sagar Singh.
