SSP dedicates new MGM thana building in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 17: The MGM police station has been newly built at Mukhiyadanga, on NH 33, ahead of Dimna Chowk in the city.

Jamshedpur’s SSP Prabhat Kumar inaugurated this new MGM police station by cutting the ribbon.

DSP Sumit Singh and MGM police station in-charge Raju and other officials were present on the occasion. The new police station building of MGM has been built at a cost of about Rs 2.50 crore.

 Earlier this police station was built in MGM Medical College. The old police station used to run in about two rooms only. It was inaugurated in a simple ceremony on Wednesday.

The work of the police station will start from the police station building itself. All the documents will be shifted to new building properly.

All the work will be done in the new police station itself. Until everything is shifted in the old police station building, the shifting will take place.

The new building has been made smart, in which boundary wall, car parking, rain water harvesting, CCTV, furniture, big hall and work station, rest room, toilet, male and female toilet, separate room for children and policemen. Barracks have also been built.
