Jamshedpur, Oct 21: The Eastern Regional Golf Tournament, organized by the NGO Navjivan Jyoti, concluded on Sunday at the Golmuri Golf Course in Jamshedpur, showcasing impressive talent from across the region.

Rupesh Katariyar emerged as the champion in the men’s main tournament, while Vijay Biradar claimed the runner-up position. In the women’s main tournament, Srishti Rani clinched the championship title, with Aditi Biradar finishing as the runner-up.

In a special segment for media personnel, senior sports journalist Aditya Nath Jha triumphed in the Media Putting Competition, further highlighting the diverse skills showcased during the event.

A total of 92 golfers from cities including Ranchi, Patna, and Kolkata participated in this two-day competition, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

The prize distribution ceremony held at Golmuri Golf Course saw winners recognized by guests, including Sanjay Srivastava (Liaising Officer, SBI), Ranveer Sinha, and Navjivan Jyoti Secretary Sumit Kumar Mahato, along with Neeraj Sinha.

The successful organization of the tournament can be attributed to the efforts of many, including Dr. Anil Kumar, Digvijay Singh, CEO, Jamshedpur Golf

Digvijay Singh, Sushant Mahato, Navtej Singh, Rajiv Kumar, Saurabh Ghosh, and Nipam Mehta. Notably, this tournament marks the first time Nav Jeevan Jyoti has held such an event in Jamshedpur after 16 years of organizing tournaments in Ranchi.

Sumit Kumar Mahato emphasized that the primary goal of the tournament is to promote talent, foster camaraderie, and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship among golfers in the eastern region.
