Srinath University celebrates World Pharmacists Day

Jamshedpur, Sep 26: The College of Pharmacy at Srinath University marked ‘World Pharmacists Day’ on September 25, with the theme ‘Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs.’ This theme highlighted the vital role pharmacists play in addressing global health challenges, providing essential medicines, managing diseases, and supporting universal health coverage.

Distinguished guests at the event included Dharmendra Singh, a member of PCI and JSPC, Mani Mohanty, Media In-Charge of the Singhbhum Pharmacist Association, and General Secretary Deepak Sharma. The program featured cultural performances and activities such as quizzes, poster making, and a Rangoli competition, all reflecting the event’s theme. Winners and participants were awarded certificates and prizes.

Key speakers, including Dharmendra Singh and Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.N. Singh, emphasized the importance of pharmacy in achieving global health goals, such as combating epidemics and reducing premature deaths from non-communicable diseases. The event concluded successfully with participation from both students and faculty members.
