Jamshedpur: The second day of the 8th Srinath International Hindi Mahotsav being hosted at Srinath University, featured key discussions and cultural events. Deputy Commissioners Ravi Shankar Shukla (Seraikela-Kharsawan) and Ananya Mittal (East Singhbhum) were the keynote speakers, moderated by Srinath University’s Senior Advisor Kaushik Mishra and JIADA Deputy Director Dinesh Ranjan.

Ravi Shankar Shukla emphasized adapting language based on the audience, ensuring effective communication with the public. He urged individuals to read and write in Hindi to elevate its global status, acknowledging the need for community effort.

Both Ravi Shankar Shukla and Ananya Mittal advocated inclusivity, blending local dialects while maintaining the integrity of Hindi.

 

Mittal refuted claims of reduced opportunities for Hindi-medium students, citing the need for contextual analysis.

Both speakers highlighted the practicality of Hindi as a national language while respecting regional linguistic diversity.

Cultural and Celebrity Appearances:

Renowned guests, including Bollywood singer Sapna Awasthi, actor Mukesh S. Bhatt, and director Mudit Chandra, inspired students with motivational speeches. Mukesh Bhatt encouraged dreaming big, while Mudit Chandra advised early career planning to tackle challenges effectively.

Colleges such as Kazi Nazrul University, Karim City College, Women’s College Chaibasa, and others participated in the event.

Events included reels communication, folk songs, Hindi typing, blog writing, and the quiz finals. The “Startup Shrinath” and short play rounds also witnessed enthusiastic participation.

The festival continued to celebrate Hindi’s cultural richness and its role in uniting diverse communities.
