Jamshedpur: Shrimad Rajchandra Atma Tatva Research Centre (SRATRC), a socio-religious organization, conducted a free health checkup camp for the economically weak segment of society at the Narbheram Hansraj English School premises in Bistupur. 525 patients underwent 16 different types of tests at the camp. Breast checks were conducted on 70 women.
Chief guest and Jamshedpur Jain Samaj trustee Nakul Kamani, special guest district CMO Dr Maheshwar Prasad, ocial worker Khushman Bhai Udani and SRATRC CHIEF Kishore Kumar jointly lighted the inaugural lamp to herald the commencement of the free health checkup camp.
Doctors from Tata Main Hospital, Brahmanand Hridayalay, nursing homes and private hospitals provided their services at the camp. Free medicines were distributed to the patients.
Appreciating the role of SRATRC in setting up free health checkup camps in distant villages and making the rural women aware of the need for medical treatment, Dr Maheshwar Prasad opined, �With humanity advancing into the 21st century, a new set of diseases has set in and containing it is a challenge. Here, the role of government and private medical practitioners assumes greater importance.�
Organizing committee member Kishore Kumar Vohra informed that SRATRC organized such types of camps annually to provide free treatment and medicines to needy people. Out of 600 hundred people who registered for the camp, 525 extremely poor patients were checked and provided medicines.
Among those who assisted in conducting the camp were Dr Pranab Kumar, Dr Partho, Raj Sevak, Pignesh Jhatakiya, Kishore, Kanak Ben, Paresh, Parag, Chandrakant, Ramesh, Hitesh, Chetna, Mina, Nilam, Manisha, Sonal and Pramila.
