Ranchi, Feb 18: Chief Secretary, R.S. Sharma today said that the infrastructure and properties of the Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation (JTDC) should be managed under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. At a meeting to review the Tourism Department at the Project Building, the Chief Secretary asked the department to expedite the process of developing website of JTDC for promoting hotels and for on-line booking of rooms of the hotels.
He said that there should be proper utilization of infrastructures of JTDC and directed the Department to prepare a detailed balance sheet of hotels operated by the corporation. He suggested on publication of good coffee table books by identifying good tourist places for promoting tourism.
At the meeting Tourism Principal Secretary Vishnu Kumar presented the list of infrastructure transferred to JTDC for operation and also a detailed report of profit and loss by the hotels operated by it from 2003-04 to 2011-12.
