Jamshedpur Police hold monthly crime review

Jamshedpur, March 12: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Piyush Pandey on Thursday chaired the monthly crime review meeting with all urban police officials to assess law and order and strengthen policing in the city.
The meeting was held in the presence of the City Superintendent of Police and attended by all Deputy Superintendents of Police and Police Station In-charges from the urban areas.
During the review, officials discussed the status of cases registered under the Arms Act, progress in pending investigations, and measures to raise public awareness against rumours related to child-lifting incidents.
The SSP directed officers to expedite the execution of pending warrants and attachment orders, intensify action against absconding accused, and ensure strict monitoring of drug peddlers operating in the city.
Particular emphasis was also placed on curbing incidents of chain snatching, mobile and purse thefts, which have been reported in several areas.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of passport verification cases and instructed police stations to complete the process within the stipulated time.
In view of the upcoming festivals of Id and Ram Navami, the SSP issued detailed instructions to maintain strict vigil, strengthen patrolling and ensure effective coordination among police units so that the celebrations are conducted peacefully and without any disturbance to public order.
