Jamshedpur, Jan 18: A delegation of members of Tribal Entrepreneurs Association led by Babu Majhi met the Principal Secretary of the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Jharkhand, Vandana Dadel, and handed over a memorandum to her. The outfit members demanded a clear industrial policy to promote Adivasis. They also demanded financial support for Adivasi entrepreneurs. They said a lack of robust industrial policy was hindering the development of entrepreneurship among Adivasis.

“Adivasis should not only be job seekers but also job creators. The state government should provide financial help and set up new industries to promote Adivasi entrepreneurs. Nodal officers should be appointed for this purpose,” said Majhi.

Majhi said a large group of Adivasis was in search of the opportunity to set up a big industry in the state.
