Special children celebrate Holi at Cheshire Home Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 22: Differently abled children spread the spirit of Holi joy coloring life with all the spectrums of gaiety at the Cheshire Home in Sundarnagar. They played with mirth and merry-making with young ones made up as Radha-Krishna, Sudama and the Gopis. Led by social worker Pappu Sardar, the event emphasized spreading joy sans substance abuse and unruly behavior on the auspicious day of Holi.

The Cheshire Home complex witnessed a spectacle of colors as special children adorned themselves with flower petals and vibrant gulal, dancing joyously to the beats of traditional Holi songs. Pappu Sardar, donning his iconic clown attire, not only shared laughter with the children but also imparted valuable messages of responsibility and harmony.

Head Sister Daisy, along with Sisters Rosalie, Smita, and Sarita, extended warm Holi greetings, emphasizing the importance of spreading colors of happiness with brotherhood and respect for others’ choices. The presence of artists portraying Radha-Krishna added a touch of traditional festivity, with their heartfelt wishes for a joyful Holi celebration.

Expressing gratitude, the artistes acknowledged the privilege of spreading happiness among the special children, attributing the success of the event to the tireless efforts of Pappu Sardar.

To further enhance the festivities, Pappu Sardar distributed delicious breakfast and lunch among the special children, fostering a sense of community and togetherness. The event, attended by all the sisters and staff of Cheshire Home, was marked with laughter, camaraderie, and lasting memories, spanning three delightful hours.
