Special Athletes attend football carnival in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 27: To commemorate Asian Football Week, joint venture of Special Olympics Asia Pacific, Asia Football Federation and Special Olympics Bharat a Unified Football Carnival was organised by Special Olympics Bharat – Jharkhand in association Tata Football Academy. Event was conducted at the premises of TFA grounds on Saturday evening.

It was also part of JRD Tata Birthday Celebrations for the year 2019.

Unified 7 A Side Football carnival where Special Athlete from Local Special Schools played friendly football matches with the cadets of Tata Steel Football Feeder Centre.

Capt. Amitabh Verma, Head, Skill Development, CSR, Tata Steel was Chief Guest for the event.

To cheer up the special athletes Chankya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel visited the event and met with special athletes. 

Mukul Choudhari CEO Jamshedpur FC and Chief Sports Excellence Centre along with Ashish, Head Sports, Bailey Bodhanwala, Area Director SOB Jharkhand  and V. Ramkrishna, Sr. Manger TFA was present for the event.

Principal of various special schools, prominent ex international sports personalities of Jamshedpur along with officials of Special Olympics were present during the occasion.

Ex International & World Games medal winner special athletes were also present  

About 80 athletes from schools including- School of Hope, Asha Kiran, START, Cheshire Home, PATH, Jeevika, Gyanoday Nobel Academy, Special School of Joy, PAMJH, AIWC and SSA East Singhbhum participated.
