Special Aadhar enrolment campaign to be run in all districts: CS

Ranchi, Nov. 21: Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma today directed state officials concerned to run a special campaign in all districts through anganwadi sevikas and agencies for Aadhaar enrolment so that cent per cent people could be connected with Aadhar.

Verma directed all the social welfare officers (SWOs) through video conferencing to give ward-wise or area-wise account of Aadhaar generation and get the rejected Aadhaar generation enrolled. She said it while reviewing Woman, Child Development and Social Security department.

The CS said that Aadhaar generation should be ensured in the Panchayat Secretariat in rural areas through staff or sevikas and tagged with agencies.

Directing the District Welfare Officer of Ranchi, she said that all urban play schools and pre-schools should be enlisted and Aadhaar enrolment ensured.

She said that Aadhaar generation of 95.21 per cent (63 per cent children between 0-5 years, 86 per cent between 5-18 years and cent per cent above 18 years) has been completed. She said that anganwadi sevikas should ensure if people are getting Aadhar card or not. They should coordinate with post offices and collect Aadhaar card and distribute them.

During the review, the CS said that all private hospitals should be tagged with UID agencies and Aadhaar numbers should be tagged with birth certificate and ANMs should be tagged with observation work. She asked the officials to make work-plan to ensure that Aadhaar generation should be done at the concerned hospitals.

Verma said that 10387 poshan sakhis are proposed to be selected in 6 districts to speed up required development. Reviewing Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Ladli yojana and Swami Vivekanand Nih Shakta Swavalamban Yojana, she said to expense the funds through transferring the amount in the account of beneficiaries selected earlier and recently.

She said that slackness in the work will not be tolerated.

Principal Secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security department Mukhmeet Singh Bhatia and other officers were present on this occasion.
