SPArC celebrates World Poetry Day at Karim City College

Jamshedpur: The cultural and literary organization SPArC (Society for Promotion of Art and Culture) at Karim City College, Sakchi, Jamshedpur, in collaboration with the departments of Hindi, English, Urdu, Bengali and Oriya, celebrated World Poetry Day with an engaging program. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz and featured prominent poets from different linguistic backgrounds.

Guest poets at the event included Dr. Manoj Pathak Ajij (Professor, Arka Jain University), Barun Prabhat (Lekhkiya Sachin Janwadi Lekhak Sangh Jamshedpur), Saddam Ghani (Vice President, Dabistan-e-Jamshedpur), Dr. Prasanna Kumar Bhuiyan (Retired Section Officer, ABM College) and Prof. AK Das (Professor, English Department, Karim City College). The event began with a warm welcome by Dr. Mohammad Reyaz and SPArC’s Coordinator, Dr. Yahya Ibrahim. Students from the college recited their self-composed poems, followed by poetry recitations from the guest poets, who also shared their insights on literature and poetry.

At the conclusion of the event, the guest poets were honored with mementoes and thank-you letters, while the student poets were awarded certificates. The program was conducted by Mubina Begum and Ayushman Sharma, with Udarija Mallick delivering the vote of thanks. A large number of students and faculty members attended the event, making it a resounding success.

MDP concludes at Karim City College

Jamshedpur: A five-day Management Development Program concluded successfully at Karim City College, Sakchi, Jamshedpur, organized in collaboration with The Indo Danish Tool Room Jamshedpur and the college’s Innovation Cell. The program featured two specialized courses: Financial Management for Commerce students and Leadership, Teamwork and Communication Skills for Mass Communication students. A total of 60 students (30 from each course) participated and successfully completed the program.

Several faculty members, including RP Singh, Dr. Zaki Akhtar, Nilay Mittal, Dr. Udham Singh, Dr. Rashmi Akhtar, Dr. Aftab Alam, Dr. Zahid Parvez, Rajesh Rai, Rashmi Kumari, Rupa Sardar and Dr. Fanjia Tabassum, played a key role in making the program a success. Dr. G. Vijayalakshmi and Dr. Neha Tiwari served as conveners. On the occasion of the closing ceremony, Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz congratulated the students and faculty members. “We are committed to organizing such programs in the future to enhance our students’ professional and academic growth,” he stated.
