Jamshedpur, Oct 23: The two day Spandan Mahotsav will kick off at Kadma-based Brahmolokdham, a unit of Beldih Kalibari and founded by Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangha, on Thursday.
Followers of spiritual head Srimad Brahmananda Shastri (1928-2007) will be part of the festivity in Jamshedpur in ways he would have approved of, with scholarships to bright and special children and a slew of health benefits for the needy.
The Bharatiya Yugavashistha Brahmananda Sangh, dedicated to Shastri, who was both Beldih Kalibari’s head priest and the Sangh’s founder, will give away scholarships to students, including special children, on Friday.
Earlier on October 13 Lord Brahmananda Rath was flagged off by Manvendra Bhattacharya from Mango Bus Stand which has covered various locations of Jamshedpur and surrounding areas.
The two day celebrations will commence with Samuhik jap, Havan and flag hoisting ceremony at Brahmlokdham, Air Base Colony, Kadma on October 24.
Several competitions including Kalash painting, Mehandi, Drawing, Talent hunt, fancy dress, cultural programme and several others have been lined up on both the days.
Distribution of scholarship among students of various schools, blood donation camp and distribution of food and clothes will be held.
