Chaibasa, May 31: In view of the ongoing rumors about child lifting and human trafficking the West Singhbhum Superintendent of police (SP) Anis Gupta held a meeting with the child care and protection concerning government officers and other NGOs at SP office Chaibasa on Wednesday.
SP discussed the issues of child lifting, child trafficking and prevention to the growing adhesive intoxicant consumption among the children. SP Anis Gupta directed all the concerning staff to take immediate measure to bring awareness of child trafficking and stop any rumor of child lifting in the village areas .
The concerning NGOs and government officers must hold meetings at Manki- Munda and police station level. SP also directed the police station to register if in case of child missing and suggested to form whats-app group to keep up to date situation.
SP also assured to introspect the Bal Mitra Police station and envisaged to the level of its prescribed standard . Child help line activist Vikas Dodrajka raised the issue of child trafficking in the blocks of Manoharpur, Sonua, Gudari, Bandgaon Chakradhapur and said that there is a need for a strong drive and action against the traffickers who are involved in the trafficking illicit trade.
In this connection SP said that we would take strong action against the culprits and appealed to the people to cooperate and tip the police off when the circumstances created. SP also directed the children who are victim to intoxicant and make necessary arrangements for their rehabilitation.
