Jamshedpur: South Eastern Railway will run a special train between Santragachi and Jabalpur for three days on June 7 , 14 and 18 in order to clear the holiday rush of passengers. The return trains from Jabalpur will leave on June 6, 13 and 20. 02192 Santragachi-Jabalpur Special will leave Santragachi at 8.40 pm and will reach Jabalpur at 3.30 pm, the next day.
In the opposite direction, 02191 Jabalpur-Santragachi Special will leave Jabalpur at 8.10 pm on and will arrive Santragachi at 4 pm, the next day.
The special train will comprise one composite coach, two AC 3-tier, ten sleeper class and four general second class coaches and will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Raigarh, Champa, Bilaspur, Pendra Road, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni and Sihora stations enroute.
Officials in Garden Reach, the Kolkata-based headquarter of South Eastern Railway revealed that keeping in view the rush of passengers they have decided to provide extra coaches in some of the trains which has long waiting lists. An official said that the schools are closed and there is a huge rush in trains of various destinations said an official.
According to railway sources majority of the berths in the Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway are being booked from Tatanagar, Rourkela, andJharsuguda railway stations.
An official of Tatanagar station said every year during the summer vacation such rush is witnessed. Steps are being taken to ease the rush. He went on to inform that South Eastern Railway has decided to attach extra coaches to several long distance trains passing through Tatanagar to accommodate passengers.
