Soon, schedule tribe commission to be established in Jharkhand: CM

Ranchi, April 14: Addressing the people on the 125th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Vidhan sabha ground, Ranchi, Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das said that the govt. will establish Schedule Tribe Commission soon in the state.

On this occasion, the CM launched Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Aawas Yojana for the widows. He said that under this scheme, Rs. 80 crore has been provisioned for 11,000 units of houses. For construction of houses in hilly/IAP districts, Rs. 75,000 per unit and in the plain / non-hilly districts, Rs. 70,000 per unit will be deposited in the bank account of the beneficiaries. He said that widows will also be given pension.

Mr. Das said that the commission was pending from 14 years. He said that the role of the marginalized people in the development of the nation is remarkable as Mahatma Gandhi connected these people to get India freedom.

He said that the constitution made by Baba Saheb gives opportunity to even a common person to reach the highest post of the state. Our constitution gives us inspiration to work for all irrespective of caste, creed, class and religion.

It contains the motto of ‘sarvajan hitay, sarvajan sukhay’. It lays emphasis on harmonized society. He appealed to people to maintain cleanliness and keep away from vices.

He said to send their wards to schools so that they can lead a happy life when they grow up. He greeted the people of the state on Ramnavmi and Bangla New Year.

N. Sinha, Welfare Department Principal Secretary Mr. Rajiv Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary, Personnel Mrs. Nidhi Khare and people in good number were present on this occasion.
