Songs, dances and dhak beats add rhythm to celebratory spirit at DBMS

Jamshedpur: Navratri symbolizes the celebration of victory of good over evil. The festive spirit spread across the premises of DBMS Kadma High School as a special celebration was organized in the school’s auditorium, Kalakriti. An exhibition comprising idols of Gods and Goddesses amidst beautiful Rangoli designs added to the festive mood. The recitation of Mahishasur Mardini strotams and devotional songs rendered by teachers resonated in the auditorium. The Dhunuchi dances on Dhak beats were a treat for the audience.

The icing on the cake was the performance of Garba dance numbers by teachers – dances that celebrate and honour the feminine form of divinity.

 The programme organized on the occasion of Navratri and Durga Puja festivities had among the audience the members of the School Managing Committee who included Lalitha Chandrashekhar (Chairperson, Administration and President), B Chandrashekhar (Chairperson Finance), Bhuvna  Krishnan (Treasurer) Uma Ramani (Secretary) and  Anita Ramkrishna (Joint  Secretary), Gurpreet Bhambra (Principal), Suparna Roy and S Shireen (Senior and Junior School Vice Principals respectively), teachers and members of the non-teaching staff.
