Son of a PWD contractor was shot at in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 28: A 26-year-old�son of a PWD contractor was shot at and injured by two criminals at Ganesh Puja Maidan under Kadma�police station�area.�The injured identified as Asfaque Khan has sustained injury in his right thigh and has been admitted at Tata Main Hospital.��

In his statement to the police, Asfaque has alleged Mohammed Sajjad and Chintu Khan to have shot at him after�a dispute�over an extortion bid by the duo.

According to the statement, Asfaque who is son of Mustaque Khan, a resident of Dhatkidih was returning home from Kadma market toward his house at about 10 pm.� On the way, Sajjat and Chintu who were on a scooter�stopped�him and asked him to pay Rs 1 lakh every month if he and his father wanted to run their contract business in the city.� On protesting about the demand for extortion money, he was shot at by Sajjad.�On hearing the firing sound some people ran to the spot, leading the two criminals to flee on their scooter.��
