Solar project plan

Ranchi: Even after 13 years of formation of Jharkhand, the state government has failed to make plans for promoting solar energy in the state.

The special secretary of the energy department Vikram Singh Gaur said the solar energy policy formulation was in the final stages. He said the final decision is to be taken by the state government.

He said the tenders will be floated for solar projects once the approval is given by the government. Gaur said solar power plants will greatly help save the environment. He said the government was working on installing solar plants in all the panchayat and block headquarters.
