Postal Department Plans to Boost Service and Revenue in Singhbhum

Jamshedpur: The Postal Department of the Singhbhum Division has begun preparations to improve its service delivery and increase revenue in the upcoming financial year. A review meeting was held at the Divisional Office under the chairmanship of Senior Superintendent of Post, Singhbhum Division, Udaybhan Singh.

The meeting focused on achieving the department’s targets on time and improving customer service. Addressing the officials, Udaybhan Singh said that teamwork and proper planning are key to success. He urged all officers to work together and ensure that both targets and service standards are met effectively.

Deputy Superintendent of Post Vishwajit Roy discussed various operational and technical issues during the meeting. He also shared new ideas to improve efficiency and overcome existing challenges. The meeting was attended by Assistant Superintendents of Post, Postal Inspectors, Postal Overseers from different sub-divisions, and Customer Relationship Managers (CRMs).

A special training session was conducted for Postal Overseers as part of the meeting. They were trained on monitoring the quality and timely completion of tasks, maintaining daily supervision of their offices, and guiding staff to achieve targets. The session aimed to strengthen their role in ensuring smooth functioning at the ground level.

During the meeting, Assistant Superintendents and Postal Inspectors presented their plans for their respective areas. The discussion also highlighted the need for better coordination with customers and ensuring that government welfare schemes reach people at all levels.

Key decisions were taken to improve overall performance. CRMs were instructed to maintain high service quality at all times. Officers were asked to prepare detailed action plans from the beginning of the financial year. Emphasis was also placed on better communication and coordination among officials.

Concluding the meeting, Udaybhan Singh expressed confidence that the team would achieve its targets and set new standards in service and performance in the coming year.
