Jamshedpur, June 12: Unidentifed thieves stole away solar power equipments from Agrico Yard under Sidhgora police station area. An FIR was registered in this connection by the regional manager of Tata Power Santosh Kumar Singh.
Sources said a security guard named Shakeel had informed Singh about the theft. When a team went to the Yard, it found the solar equipments scattered all around and many parts missing from sealed packets. During inspection, it was found that the thieves had stolen equipments worth Rs 9 lakh.
According to the regional manager, the equipments were to be used in installation of solar plant at Tata Steel and Sonari Airport. The equipments were brought to Agrico Yard in January last.
