Soil identification workshop held in Potka

Jamshedpur: A workshop for the identification and testing of soil was organized at Paryavaran Chetna Kendra, Bada Sikdi, Potka, on Saturday. A large number of farmers from 10 villages participated in the workshop. They were informed about ways to increase crop production through modern agricultural techniques.

The national president Bharatiya Bhumij Samaj Sidheshwar Sardar said modernization of farming was possible through identification and testing of soil and doubling of crop production.

The villagers had come from Gitildih, Borakanta, Dokarsai, Gaurgram, Sohda, Nutandih, Bara Sikdi, Chandpur, Pichhli, Badhedih, Rimda, Rangamatia and Pandudih. Those present on the occasion included Harish Bhumij, Vibhishan Sardar, Gauri Sardar, Sahdev Sardar, Sanjay Sardar, Hemant Sardar, Malti Sardar, Sandhya, Vishnu, Jaldhar Patro, Shiv Kumar Patro and Bariyar Mardi.
