Smriti Irani announces composite schools in Jharkhand

Ranchi, April 8: Acknowledging to Chief Minister Raghubar Das request, the Union HRD Minster Smriti Jubin Irani on Friday announced that composite schools will be started in Ranchi, Palamu, Dumka, Chaibasa and Hazaribag.

The government will run schools in the line of private schools and buses will be plied to transport children.

She said it while she was addressing ‘Vidyalay Chale -Chalayein Abhiyan 2016′ in Kalamati as the chief guest. She said that SC, ST and OBC students will not have to pay any fees in IIT, Dhanbad (previously ISM).

The development of students will be prime criteria for teachers’ promotion in the schools. She said that the govt. is
Endeavouring to fulfil the dreams of the poor and marginalized. She said that the parents of students should be part of school management system so that the lacuna could be brought to the notice of administration.

Laying emphasis on the role of teachers she said that their contribution counts in the development of the students.

The CM said that the state government is planning to involve panchayats in school management to ensure proper management and monitoring in the schools.

The government will reserve the right to appoint and curriculum. Appealing to MPs, MLAs, public representatives and officers, the CM said that they should develop a nearby school as a model school to improve the condition of
Education in the state.

He requested the Union HRD Minister to help him provide bench-desk in 30,000 schools of the state lacking this basic infra-structure. The central government has given 50 percent fund for this purpose.

He said that about 2 lakh children don’t go to school and the govt. has undertak- en concrete step in respect to appoint teachers and impart quality education.

He said that the drop out should be stopped and children of every level should be sent to school. Praising the women standing against the breakers of Law and Order in Khunti, he said that they will be helped in every possible way.

He summoned all to make the state crimefree. Khunti MP Karia Munda, education minister Neera Yadav and RDD minister Nilkanth Singh Munda also addressed the people. Kanke MLA Jeetu Charan Ram, development commissioner Amit Khare, school education secretary Aradhana Patnayak, secondary education director Manish Ranjan and others were present on this occasion.
