Gamharia, Oct 21: The foundation day of Aajivika Mahila Sankul was marked by discussions and views on furthering the cause of the organization. The three day celebrations included interesting cultural programmes and were organized at the community hall in Rapcha Panchayat. Zila Parishad member Pinky Mandal was the chief guest while Canara Bank branch manager Shalini Devi and Bank of India’s FLCA N Samad were present during the foundation day celebrations as special guests. Other special invitees included women members representing four panchayats CLF President Bharti Mardi, Treasurer Reena Mahali, Rapcha Sankul CC Hemanti Hansda, Omkar Nath Mahto among others. Aajivika Mahila Sankul Treasurer Reena Mahali, on behalf of the organization, honoured Zila Parishad member Pinky Mandal. Cultural programs including presentations of various traditional dances were organized during the three day foundation celebration.
President of the organization, Bharti Mardi stated in the course of her observation, “By forming small women’s groups, Sankuls, these ladies could become self-reliant. The results are already showing as women are gradually being nurtured and groomed to become self reliant through income earning ways.”
Zila Parishad member and chief guest on the occasion Pinky Mandal stated that the Jharkhand government was determined about uplift of women in socio-economic realms. “Many welfare schemes have been launched by the state government to open up new horizons for women.” Hemanti Hansda gave detailed information on the various women-centric schemes introduced by the Jharkhand government.
