Small and Cottage Industry Board to be constituted soon: CM

Ranchi, March 23: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that Jharkhand will be developed to keep pace with the emerging �new India�.

He said there should be no place for corruption in the state and all development work should be completed within the time frame. The administration should be made accountable.

Action will be taken on officers showing slackness, he added. The CM said that IT not only speeds up government work but also maintains transparency.

�A single window should dispose all files promptly and Right to Service should be reviewed. Chief Minister�s Small and Cottage Industry Board is being formed and a woman member from every village will be kept in the board. Each such woman will form a 15 member industrious Sakhi Mandal. As many as 4.80 lakh women will be connected with the Sakhi Mandal and they will be trained and skilled,� he said.

Das further said that a Lac Board will also be formed so that the people can get the true value of lac. �The government will install processing plant and export lac. Tasar board will also be formed and handloom will be promoted and people will be connected with it.

Small and middle village industry board will also be formed to promote industry. The development of the state is linked with industrial development of the state,� he said.

The CM said that all files on single window system should be disposed within a timeframe. �Problems should be sorted out promptly and the work culture should be changed. Officers should avoid red-tapism. Industry, Revenue and Pollution Control Board should coordinate among themselves.

DIO has been made nodal officer at district level and it is his duty to sort out grievances promptly at district level. The migration of local boys and girls to another state should be stopped. Officers have got a golden opportunity to change the image of the state through their sincere services,� he said.

Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, DGP D. K. Pandey, Additional CS Amit Khare, R.K. Sirvastava, Industry Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal and many other senior officers were present at the meeting.
