A slew of events planned for Sai Baba’s death centenary

Jamshedpur, June 10: A host of cultural and social events have been planned to commemorate the death centenary of Shirdi Sai Baba.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the Sai Baba Samadhi Shatabdi Mahotsav on 1st October at Shirdi. Visitors will be able to visit the Sai planetarium, wax museum, science park and star gazing gallery.

Visitors can watch episodes of Sai Satcharitra through a 25-minute show. An art gallery and library
will be installed at the Shirdi Bus Station and tourists can watch documentaries on Sai Baba and read
about his work.

Free wifi will be available in the city from August 1. A blood donation campaign will
be organised and Sai Baba’s ‘Paduka’ will be carried to several districts in Maharashtra, different
States in the country and around 25 countries in the world, including Australia, the U.K. and the U.S.
Chairman of Sri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust.

Dr Suresh Kashinath Haware said the trust also proposes to plant one lakh trees along the Shirdi-Nashik and Ahmednagar-Manmad highways. The Sai Baba Sansthan Trust has proposed to set up a 100-bed cancer hospital in collaboration with Tata Trust.

An Indian Administrative Services academy will be established at Sai Palkhi Nirwara near Shirdi.
Hundred students from tribal, neglected and economically weaker sections will be enrolled in the
academy for a period of one year
