Jamshedpur: In a creative effort to boost voter awareness and participation, a sky balloon emblazoned with the message “Voting is on 25th May in Jamshedpur” has been installed at the Collectorate roundabout, near the main entrance of Jubilee Park. This initiative, spearheaded by District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, falls under the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) program.
Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, alongside the entire Sweep Cell team, was present at the unveiling of the balloon. They aimed to raise awareness among the residents of the 09-Jamshedpur Parliamentary Constituency about the upcoming election date and encourage them to vote.
“The sky balloon is a striking visual reminder intended to motivate the district’s voters to participate in the electoral process on May 25,” stated Manish Kumar. He emphasized the importance of every vote in strengthening democracy, urging citizens to consider election day a celebration of democratic engagement.
Kumar encouraged voters to bring their families and neighbors to the polling booths, highlighting the goal of achieving 100 percent voter turnout. “Our collective participation is crucial,” he said. “Each vote counts and can significantly impact our community.”
The SVEEP initiative aims to ensure maximum voter engagement, with the sky balloon serving as a centerpiece of this campaign. The administration’s efforts reflect their commitment to fostering a robust democratic process through increased voter awareness and participation.
