Sixth Jharkhand National Film Festival to be held from Dec 8 -13

Jamshedpur, Nov 30 :The sixth edition of the Jharkhand National Film Festival has officially begun, promising a vibrant celebration of cinema, culture, and artistic expression.

Scheduled from December 8 to 13, the festival will feature a series of film screenings, interactive sessions, and cultural programmes across multiple venues.

*Festival Schedule and Venues*

The inaugural ceremony will take place on December 8 at Srinath University.

On December 9 and 10, festival sessions will be held at Srinath University from 10 am to 8 pm.

On December 10 and 11, events will continue at Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur, between 3 pm and 9:30 pm.

Film screenings are scheduled at Karim City College on December 11 and 12 from 10 am to 2 pm.

*Grand Finale and Felicitation Ceremony on December 13*

The closing and felicitation ceremony will be held on December 13 at 4.30 pm at XLRI Auditorium.

The event will open with a cultural programme presented by local artists.

A major highlight of the evening will be the presence of Aashiqui fame actor Rahul Roy as the chief guest.

Popular Jharkhand singer Nitesh Kasyap will also attend as a special guest. Both dignitaries will present awards in various film categories.

*Free Entry Passes Available*

Entry to the festival is free. Passes can be collected from Karim City College, Srinath University, RVS College of Engineering, and Asma India, Adityapur, upon showing a valid ID card.

Participants registering online must submit a copy of their Aadhaar card at the entry point.

*Fashion Show and Cultural Performances*

Unit head Shivangi Singh informed that the festival will also feature a ramp walk showcasing traditional Jharkhand attire, along with a variety of cultural performances.

Members of the advisory board and organising committee have played a crucial role in making the festival a grand event.

The festival aims to provide a platform for filmmakers, artists, and cinema enthusiasts while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand.
