Jamshedpur: The traffic signal installed at Karandih Chowk to provide relief from congestion turned into a mere showpiece just a day after its inauguration. On Thursday, Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar had formally inaugurated the system with a traditional ceremony; however, by Friday, a technical glitch hit the system.
Currently, while the red and yellow lights are functioning, the “green signal” remains non-operational. Additionally, the timer display board has shut down. The signal that people hoped would ensure smooth traffic flow is now causing confusion and inconvenience.
